Ulunthu vadai |
Ingredients:
Urad dal/uluntham parupu(skinless)

Onion/small onion(chopped)

¼ cup

Green chilli(finely chopped)

Carrot (grated)

2 table spoon

Curry leaves (finely chopped)

2 table spoon

Black pepper(crushed)

1 tea spoon

How to make methu
vadai:
- Soak the urad dal for 3 hours and drain the water.
- Grind it smoothly by sprinkling some water to butter consistency.
- Add the onion, green chilli, curry leaves, black pepper and salt along with the batter and mix well.
- Use the plastic sheet or butter paper, grease the sheet with a drop of water and wet your hand. Take a ball of batter and keep it on the greased sheet. (you can also use your hands instead of sheet by greasing oil)
- Pat it and make hole in the centre.
- Heat the oil and keep it ready. Carefully shift it into the oil and fry it golden brown.
- Transfer it to the kitchen napkin.
- This can be server as a side dish with pongal, dosa, idli ect.
