Sooji halwa

Sooji Halwa

Ingredients:
Sooji/ semolina /rava
1 cup
Jaggery
1 cup (more or less)
Food color (orange)
a pinch
Milk
2 cup
Cashew nut
few
Cardamom
2
Ghee
½ cup
Water
½ cup


How to do Sooji halwa:
  • Roast the sooji in ghee till it become little brown and set aside.
  •   Dissolve the jaggery in ½ cup of water and filter it.
  • Add milk with the filtered jaggery water when it starts to boil reduce the flame and add roasted sooji.
  • When it becomes thick add the fried cashew nut, powdered cardamom, remaining ghee, food color.
  •  Transfer it to a tray and cut into pieces after it sets.
