Carrot rice- healthy food- variety rice



Carrot rice is a tasty and different dish loved by everyone, especially by children even though they wont like their food. This is also a healthy food.

Ingredients:
Rice
½ cup
Carrot (grated)
1 cup
Onion (chopped or sliced)
1 cup
Turmeric powder
½ tea spoon
Green chilli
1
Black pepper powder
As required
Garam masala powder
½ tea spoon
Mustard
¼ tea spoon
Cumin seed
¼ tea spoon
Oil/ghee
3 table spoon
Salt
As required


How to make carrot rice:
  • Cook the rice more than ¾ and allow it to cool.
  • In a pan with oil/ghee add mustard, cumin seeed and add onion and fry it. When its color starts to change add green chilli, carrot. Fry it for 3 minutes.
  • Now add black pepper powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt. Fry it for a minute.
  • Now mix this with the rice and serve it.
