Carrot Idiyappam/String hoppers/Rice noodles/Sevai/Nool puttu

Ingredients:
3 cup
Water
As required
Salt
For taste
Oil
1 tea spoon
Coconut (grated)
As required
Carrot (grated)
As required

How to make Carrot Idiyappam:
  • Boil the water along with salt and oil for 5 minutes. Add little by little boiled water along with flour.
  • Mix this with spoon till it become soft dough.
  • Grease the idiyappa mould with sev plate. Take small portion of dough in the mould.
  • Grease the idli plate and fill thin layer of carrot and above that thin layer of coconut. Now squeeze the dough in circular motion above that.
  • Steam cook the Idiyappam and serve with milk and sugar.

  1. I add this twist to an idli. Have never tried it with idiyappam. Interesting.
