Ingredients:
Red gram/thoor dhal/Nayam dhal/Sambar parupu

Mustard seed

How to make Parupu
rasam:
- Pressure cook the toor dhal, tomato, green chilli.
- Dissolve the tamarind, salt and add this to pressure cooked dhal.
- Now add the asafetida powder also.
- In a pan with oil add mustard seed, curry leaves and fry the onion till its color changes. Now pour the above mixed ingredients and allow it to boil.
