Panakam/panak/panagam – Traditional South Indian Summer Refreshing drinks


This is not only a refreshing drink. This is also a healthy digestive drink.
Panagam
Ingredients:
Jaggery
1 cup
Lemon
2
Crushed Cardamom
2
Dry ginger powder
½ table spoon
Water
4 cups

Panagam

How to make panakam:
  • Dissolve the jaggery in water and filter the same to remove dirt.
  • Squeeze the lemon in jaggery water along with dry ginger powder, crushed cardamom.
  • Check the taste, add more jaggery if required.
  • Rest it for half an hour. Filter the juice in a strainer. Sever it immediately or after chill.
