Ingredients:
Raw rice

Yellow mung dal/paasi parupu

How to prepare sweet
pongal:
- Dry roast the mung dal. Roast the cashew nut and raisins separately, also roast cloves and elachi in ghee and set aside.
- Dissolve the jaggery in ½ cup of boiling water and filter it. Keep it ready.
- Wash the rice and mung dal and add water with it and cook it well.
- Now along with that add the jaggery water, cashew nut, raisins, cloves, cardamom and dry ginger powder and cook for few minutes.
